I listen to his show because it's the only intelligent sounding talk radio station my uplander picks up. I've given up on music stations because I can go two months without listening to the music stations , come back and still hear the same play list.

Where is your area? I have a local guy in Richmond who comes on before him who actually went to the same high school that I did in va beach. He's real good about taking local calls and reading emails people and in (such as those from myself to correct him)

I'm in Davenport Iowa for now. Jim Fischer is our local guy. He's a lot like Garrison Kiellor but daily.

Recently he helped with Coyote hunting in city limits. Those were interesting shows.. Yikes, the crazys really came out of the woodwork.

Jim gives 90 seconds to everyone. And it is wonderful. He never hangs up on a caller and has had a few back after dropped calls. They're just as fun the second time.
